Lorna graduated from the University of Houston with a double degree in Economics and Psychology, attending one of the most diverse universities in the United States, located in the nation's most diverse city. In July 2024, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Grace Life University in recognition of her outstanding contributions to African development.
With a deep passion for development and energy economics, Lorna is committed to the empowerment of women, minorities, and developing nations, with a particular focus on Africa.
She currently serves as the Texas State Leader for Stand Up For Women Society (SWS) and as the Texas CEO for the Africa International Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition, she is a member of the advisory board for international projects at Estate Master's Capital Group. Lorna also holds the position of Secretary General of the United International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC), where she plays a key role in organizing the upcoming Global Leadership Investment Summit and Awards Conference (GLISATEXAS2025), scheduled for November 2025, in collaboration with the D Martena Foundation and the Africa International Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Furthering her commitment to service, Lorna is currently attending ministry school through Behind Closed Doors International Ministries. Upon completion, she will launch her own ministry,
Glory Arise, which will operate internationally under the mentorship of Apostle Twebaze Benjamin, CEO of World Revival Movement International, based in Uganda.
Lorna is also deeply passionate about development initiatives, particularly Smart City projects. Her love for philanthropic work is evident through her involvement with organizations such as United Way and various other nonprofit initiatives.
